I was driving to work today, and my dash made it's ominous "I've now turned on an indicator light, please look at me!" noise. I was like "oh damnit, not again!".

So I look at the dash, and it says, I shit you not, "Low Washer Fluid".

THANK GOD I MIGHT HAVE RAN OUT OF WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID. GOOD THING YOU WENT BONG AT ME!

Does your car have a preposterous response to something that is virtually a non issue or doesn't require an immediate response?

Poll #814366 stupid indicators

Does your car have an ominous sounding warning or beep for something inconsequential, or a completely silly indicator light?

Ominous sounding tone for something that does not demand immediate attention

Indicator light to indicate something that nobody cares about

Both

Neither

If the previous answer was affirmative, describe!

For what it's worth, I'm digging the fact they have a dash light for that. I am not digging the "your check engine soon light came on, your fuel is low, sort of beep that accompanied it"

I get a low washer fluid light, and while it's not imperative to to operation of the vehicle where I live having enough fluid in the reservoir is important.

I'm all about the light. It's the warning tone that sounds that I find stupid, as it's the same tone that indicates low fuel, or some other immediate attention sort of situation.

yes that would be stupid. Perhaps your minivan has some sort of hybrid engine that needs washer fluid to operate?

The Camaro does not have an indicator light for such minutae. However, consider the fact that your vehicle was designed to be driven by a soccer Mom, who's likely to blow something off unless it's made to seem omnious. In contrast, GM was fairly certain that mine would be driven by someone who understands a modicum of vehicle maintenance and enjoys doing the same.
