Well, after breaking the $20,000 donation mark, Paypal decided to shut down the donation account. No warning, no customer support, no chance to fix anything. Why? Here's their reason!

Paypal has frozen $20,000 in money earmarked to be donated to the Red Cross. Everyone should know about this. It's unacceptable.

Not that I really have any reason to doubt this, but is there some way to verify that this actually occured?

Other than clicking the posted link, where they post screenshots that appear to be unaltered, I think you basically have to take their word for it.

I've always needed verification before I fully believe things like that. It's just far too easy to whip up some HTML code to make pages like these.....
